Velvetta Cheese Log

1 pound Velvetta cheese (room temperature)
8 ounces Cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2 cup chopped green chilies
1/2 cup pecans chopped
1/2 cup black olives, chopped
1/2 cup pimientos
1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Roll out Velvetta between 2 sheets of parchment or wax paper. Spread softened cream cheese over Velvetta. Mix remaining ingredients and spread over cream cheese. Roll up jelly roll style and invert onto a platter.

This is very easy to make as long as you are working with Velvetta and cream cheese that is softened at room temperature.

First Annual Cousins Reunion

First Annual Cousins Reunion

Although it was a rainy day outside, we stayed dry inside visting, eating and telling stories. We got to fill in some blanks and I found I wasn't the only little boy chipping away at Grandma and Grandpa Beare's porch. What a relief shared guilt is. LOL

What fun!!!! Loved meeting some family for the first time and seeing others we having seen for years. Here are some of the photos shot while we viewed old photos and posed for new ones.

The Cousins Reunion

Yes! the family reunion is still on and it is going to be GREAT!!! The plan is to have folks arrive mid-morning on Saturday the 12th of September, 2009, say around 10:00 A.M. Current thinking is, if everyone brings one of their favorite food dishes, (it can be anything from dessert to side dishes or salad), the main meats (beef and chicken) will be provided.

Lunch will start between 12:30 P.M. and 1:00 P.M.

Games, activities, and visiting between lunch and dinner

Dinner will start between 5:00 P.M. and 5:30 P.M.

All this will take place at Robbie and Charlies house and the church activities center next door.

There is a large parking lot between the Blockers home and the church so parking is not going to be a problem.

We have horse-shoes and other outdoor activities planned as well as indoor volleyball and basketball for those interested. Bring any favorite family game, tables will be provided.
