James H. Beare

James passed away while at work (Zales Corp.) on Tuesday May 11, 2010. Our shock and saddness at the loss of the "baby" of the family leaves me speechless. We miss him greatly and his passing leaves a hole in our hearts that cannot be filled. James was a loving husband, father, brother, cousin, uncle, and human being.

Parenting: A View from the Therapist Chair

Well the first 100 books sold in the first two days after the book came out. It is now available on Amazon, Lulu or at my web-site: www.jerrybeare.com

Thanks for all your support in reading the book and getting the word out.

I have developed a Parenting program now. It is an 8 week program on Power Point and comes with a workbook and Instructor's Guide. Looks like it is going to be very well received as well.

New Book is out!

For those asking how to get a copy of my new book. There are several ways. It will be coming out on Amazon and Barnes and Noble in a few weeks. Also you can go to www.lulu.com and click on Buy and type in Jerry Beare (if you go that route, type in HUMBUG at the check-out and get a 10% discount).

Lastly you can go to www.jerrybeare.com and order as well.

I know it feels like shameless self promoting, however the book is great and will be a help to a lot of people. Enjoy!

The Velvetta Cheese Log recipe

Velvetta Cheese Log

1 pound Velvetta cheese (room temperature)
8 ounces Cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2 cup chopped green chilies
1/2 cup pecans chopped
1/2 cup black olives, chopped
1/2 cup pimientos
1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Roll out Velvetta between 2 sheets of parchment or wax paper. Spread softened cream cheese over Velvetta. Mix remaining ingredients and spread over cream cheese. Roll up jelly roll style and invert onto a platter.

This is very easy to make as long as you are working with Velvetta and cream cheese that is softened at room temperature.

The Velvetta Cheese Log

As long as the Veletta and cream cheeses are at room temperature this is easy to make.
